I'm presuming that this is an issue garment as, apart from the label, this is such a complicated garment that I can't see anyone copying it.

It seems mint. It was missing one of the two zippers which turned out to be a quick fix.







If anyone has a CadPat TW goretex they want to trade for this one ........ size 7042 to 7046

Yes, I believe that is issue. Nice bit of kit you have there.

Definitely genuine. The wet weather kit doesn't have the same sort of tags found in the uniform, but the same information is present. The quick things to look for are:

1. French and English labels (usually all on one label, not two).
2. Canadian military sizing. 4 digits, first two represent height second two either chest or waist.
3. Date, usually expressed as mm/yy

Other stuff too, of course, but these are the things that are usually missing from commercial stuff.

Thanks for the confirmation Steve. I was 98% certain as who would copy something as detailed and complex as this ? It would cost as much to copy as a genuine one methinks

It is the same as one shown elsewhere on this website that I have subsequently seen.

It looks great but too incongruous to wear about town in the UK. I'm also more of a fan of the CadPat TW.

As no-one has stepped forward to offer something in trade, this will go on Ebay next weekend. There must be someone who wants it surely ?

I had a spare Norwegian cammo Gtex Dave but I traded it, I may still have one but I am away at present and will check when I get back.

I am interested in this jacket aswell.

True. There are some complex/expensive commercial items out there for various patterns, but these are clearly marked.
