Interest Piece - Issue Matchless Fire Set

got this the other day for a couple of quid, nice little interest peice.




Contents consists of a flint and stiker, 3 blocks of solid fuel, a wad of cotton wool and, well, a tampon, purpose of which yet unknown.

The tampon always amuses me I should probably grow up

You'll need to replace the fuel tablets from time to time if you plan to cary that kit ......

Oh how i miss the yorkies! But yes, out of date, all ive had out of it is the flint/sparker thingy

The tampon is /was used as an excellent tinder material..easy as that.

Oh yeah I always take a tampon or two camping with me, and some alcohol hand sanitizer to help get it it going, and to clean the mank off my hands when cooking!
