    Export Uniform 60's ?

Post by panzerwerk on Wed Apr 18, 2012 8:52 pm

Polish made Uniform for Export , who they made them for I have no idea ?
They have 2 tags , a small tag inside the collar with size marking (S,M,L)
And a blank tag under the collar on the out side , very heavy duty and well made like most Polish items , I think these are from the 60's ,but am not totally sure .

It's little similiar in design (i mean pockets) to Civil Defence uniform:

Maybe it's previous version of black Civil Defence uniform. I don't think it's army uniform because of buttons without eagle.

I is missing the eagles because it was meant for export to another country .
But you may be right , it may be an earlier version of the shirt you provided the link too , they do have some similarities !

    Hi Steve,

Interesting uniform. I think that it is most likely a version of the Civil Defence (Obrona Cywilna) uniform from either the 1980s or 1970s. I have seen many versions with similar (no eagles) buttons and pockets. Here is a similar OC uniform:

I have seen the 1960 Deszczyk (rain pattern) OC both with and without eagle buttons.

Another option is that it is one of the uniforms made for UN missins in the 1970s or 80s, but I think they look different and were more lightweight eg for Middle East.

Can you post a pic of the size tag? Any stamps?
