Oooooo... I'd be willing to set you up with a nice trade of BW kit for the Köhler trousers you have. It was part of their trials of flame resistant uniforms, which was dropped and not put into effect. "Modell D" is one of the last ones they made, IIRC.

    PM if interested.

Thanks Steve, I didn't realise I had these until earlier on today, when having spring clean. I was a bit puzzled by the Modell D aspect, and was going to query that, but thought that they were nothing special so didn't bother. So this is a pleasant surprise!!

I will most certainly bear you in mind if I decide to move them one, I didn't appreciate they would be sought after, truth be known I thought they were moleskins made out of cheaper basic material Surprised Exclamation

Sought after? Actually, that's the funny thing about these items... they aren't Wink

When 1980s trial stuff comes up for sale on eBay (fairly often, I might add) they usually sell for around EUR 25-35 per piece. Even the 1988/89 Flecktarn ones don't usually sell for much more than that, though sometimes the earlier ones do touch EUR 60. Compare that with the 76 trials where even a hat can sell for EUR 117 and suits can go upwards around EUR 400.

My conclusion is the interest level of these trials items is directly proportional to the camouflage pattern they are printed on. Moleskin color is not of much interest to even BW collectors, so interest is very low. Heck, even I'm not willing to pay more than EUR 25-35 for one, yet I paid more than that for an unissued regular 1970s issue trousers.

Well, give it a thought or three. I'm sure I could offer a trade in excess of the value of the trousers that you'd like. I have a Modell D jacket that would love to have matching trousers Smile
