    British Desert DPM

Post by 2/1RNZIR on Mon Apr 23, 2012 1:48 am

Landed in country and made my way into the accomodation and the rooms were full of British desert dpm - windproof smocks and matching trousers, j hats, shirts and trousers and UBACS! all brand new, it seems when the British changed over to MTP they gave their remaining stocks of desert in Afghan to us kiwis.

Wait, you're over there now? Just in time for summer. You lucky bugger Smile

Thanks for the fun fact! An Estonian contact told me that they wore the British DPM under armor shirts. I'm now guessing it's part of the same deal you Kiwis got in on.

    Stay safe mate.

Yeah Brit desert gear is worth nothing surplus wise here in England, I honestly mean nothing. The smocks sell for less than £5 which I guess they cost more than that to make. I bought a fully badged suit jacket and pants for decorating work coveralls for 99p.
