For some reason the jackets are a dime a dozen in the US, but the trousers are non-existent. Funny how that works!

That's true. For general foreign uniforms, you can find many different jackets, but never trousers. I remember there was tons of flecktarn jackets but lack of trousers.

    Hello guys,

I am trying to find out what's the difference between French olive jackets of models F1 and F2.

As far as I understood, F1 model was adopted in 1980, and represents by itself a modified and simplified version of model 1964 French jacket (the lower pockets became patch pockets, snap buttons changed the conventional plastic buttons on the sleeves and lower buttons).

F2 model is a modification of F1, and has no lower pockets.

F1 and F2 models were produced in CCE camouflage since 1990-s.

    Am I right?

P.S. The pants are more rare, because they are usually exposed to more harsh tear-and wear efforts, especially on the knees and sit areas, and the pants use to become shabby faster than jackets, in any uniform. That's the reason, to my mind.
