    UN beret 003-12UN beret 002-17
I picked This Un beret and badge up on ebay for £5.21 including shipping
    the label although faint reads
    100% wool
    Dry Clean Only
    Size 3
    there is no makers mark
the badge is in exelent condition no chips to the enamel, the beret is quite faded and it has never had a liner although there has been a stifener stitched in the front this has been replaced by a bit of green plastic on the whole not a bad peice.

    Hi Graham.

I like your UN beret Mate very nice, I only have one of these in my collection, this one is a New Zealand issue beret, and I was very lucky as I only paid a pound for it from a car boot sale. Wink

Thanks Graham, I was going to buy one off ebay, from S Frankish, who is fairly cheap.

I got this one over this weekend gone, bought a load of kit of a stall holder, and this was part of it Wink

I had one, but it was misappropriated.I'll bet, however, that that NZ wool is finer than most. Sharp!

Well, *stolen* is a strong word. It was left at a friend's house, and he just never felt a strong desire to return it, and after a while, I didn't have an overwhelming urge to get on his case about it... so... meh. Wink

(I use softer language for situations such as these).

And-- good luck with the job. Exciting places and interesting people... always a good thing.

Just found my beret stash(50++) and amongst them are 2 unknown nation UN berets, very old and well used!!!!

The beret with the badge has a strange circular pattern to the crown,as if it was made by being spun-is this common i wonder to any particular Nation/Country as to help ID it?
