    I agree the boonie is almost certainly civilian. I've never seen issued French gear with US type sizes or English descriptions (the French are not big on the use of English Wink). Not to mention a company logo, registered trademarks, and other things Smile

    Strangely enough US Issue Woodland boonies are a popular private purchase item amongst French soldiers, even though an issue CE version exists. A 'Sergent Chef' told me it was because of the wider, flatter brim.
