Can anyone identify this bag? The DPM pattern looks similar to those used by Iraq. No markings on it.

Could be Asian, African, or Middle Eastern... but it could also be a fashion item. There's a lot of shoulder bags and backpacks out there specifically manufactured for commercial markets. I've got a Flecktarn backpack made in traditional European style but with the familiar US Army style metal buckles (just like on this back).

The design of this thing makes me think commercial shoulder bag.

    Nice colors, regardless.

The quality of the bag seems too poor to be commercial.

Quality all depends on context Very Happy The backpack I just mentioned isn't very good quality, but it was only $25. It's held up pretty well over the years.

Could be genuine military for someone, of course. Having said that, the features on this bag look more commercial to me than military. Shoulder bags aren't very common except for gasmask bags, and those rarely have pouches on them like this one does.

First thing I assumed was that it was a gas mask bag. It does appear to conform to standard military layouts in its design, such as the webbing and stitching however you'd assume the edge tape would go around more than the pockets?

Gasmask bag would be the only standard piece of kit I can think of, but to me it doesn't look like one. To me it looks like a cross between a small "assault pack" (bread bag, backpack, etc) and a gasmask bag. Specifically the assault pack should have some way to attach to webbing, but it doesn't have any. A gasmask bag has a strap like that, but usually doesn't have full pockets and the cover closes tighter around the bag when secured.

But hey... if this was produced for the Middle East... anything is possible!
