    Hi Guys.

After being unsuccessful in my own research, I was wondering if anyone here could shed some light on the origins of this Patch, I bought it thinking it was French, but I have no ideas what the HKQG stands for ??????

The insignia looks like it probably is Belgian. They have a Para-Commando Regiment and the pictured wing insignia looks very similar to the beret badge of the Staff and HQ element of that formation.

Yes it looks like the belgian para-commando brevet and the 2 color ribbon is probably mention to both para and commando beret colors.
The letters HK and QG could be for Hoofdkwartier in flemish and Quartier-Génerale in french as Belgium is a bilingue country and it refers to Headquarters

    Best regards

That big!? I would say that patch is not service issue but some souvenier type to stitch to other than service uniforms. But then it's my guess. Would be nice to see if some belgium user could sort that out Smile

    Best regards

Hi Albano, yes it's a big one!, which like leads me to think not a standard issue uniform piece either.

I too look forward to hearing from one of the Belgium members here, I may never truly find out it's usage ,but It was was cheap, but curiousity get's the better of me.

Thanks again for your input, it's fully appreciated. Very Happy
