Well I have photos of the only eagle snap I got taken now, so check it out. I believe it is a Model 1903 belt that has been rearsenaled and fitted with smaller metal ends. It is missing the buckle.Show your Eagle Snaps 00610Show your Eagle Snaps 00710

HI. The eagle snap canteen is very nice.{ I don't have one}. Did any eagle snap gear actually enter the first world war, any help would be appreciated. Jim.

Much of the equipment used overseas initially probably had eagle snaps, as the LTDs seem to have gone into production only in 1917.

Hi Wolverine. I would say you are right, I think a fair bit of the early gear would have gone over, just like today there is always a cross over period, thanks. Jim.
