Homehi guys i need your help to id this writing in black paint and a split black and red triangular emblem on my iraqi lid if anyone can help

The writing is the number 2 in arabic. Don't know about the rest. Best of luck to identify it.

It could be republican guard insignia, but im not sure. number 2 is in Arabic.

Yup, Republican Guard for sure. Normally it is just a red triangle, but there are variations (probably for specific units).

I saw specific mention on Global Security's website that there is a red/black combo like yours, but they did not know what it represented. I've seen a number of other variations too, which isn't surprising. Units like to personalize stuff.

James as before, I am convinced this lid is RG, but course this area is a grey one as it were.

just a little update ive been told it might possibly be medina division republican guard ,what i like about the lid is the amount of iraqi sand residue on the inside dome and around the riddel liner also so nice and salty just how i like them i would never attempt to clean it either thanks again james
