Some recent British finds, and some questions

Found some nice British stuff lately, some of them require a bit more info, which some of you will probably have, so here goes!

SF CTT helmet with MTP cover taped on. Who used these helmets, any photos of them in use?







Highmark specialised protection systems, SF helmet.
Is Highmark actually British? Any more info on this helmet would be welcome, all I know is what's on the tag.








Bergen/Clansman radio frame with adapter plate, the frame will pair up with a Bergen I already have (para/SAS type)





Green p58 canteen with black cap and missing cup, "Ersatz" L-strap to make a pair with my other one I already had, also a repaired one (maybe for Dutch
or Belgian army), the rest in this photo is not British, though the vest insert is unknown.

Early type 58 pattern webbing, 2nd type magpouches, 2nd type kidney pouches, 1st type water bottle pouch,
1st type H-yoke, 1st type poncho roll, the belt is a late one, but has been replaced with an early one I already had.










Mk6 helmet nape protector, bandoleer, 2nd type 58 pattern poncho roll which I received mistakenly.




Arctic Bergen with frame, 58 pattern sleeping bag, arctic sleeping bag Mk2.
Might this frame be an early type? It differs in having thin vertical running bars along the padded blocks, and swiveling D-rings
at the bottom where the straps attach.





US sleeping mat, which was in a big pile of British stuff, were these actually also British used, or has anyone ever seen this type
as British marked? From what I see in photos this exact type is also seen on Brits, so either US made or the same but British?
And then some Swiss stuff I also got.




A mannequin with some of the bits seen above plus more. (Bergen on the frame above, lightweight para helmet with DPM hood and green net,
59/72 pattern denison smock, the early belt described above, 60 pattern green trousers, and lots of stuff unrelated to British gear)

Where are you getting all this Brit kit from,all from Holland?

Not 100% sure but the CTT helmets were supposedly SF issue(never seen a photo of one in use by them) but mainly used by the Police Armed/Tactical Officers. Im guessing that the MTP cover and tape were added by a reenactor or airsofter when Mk7s werent as readily available,just a guess.

On an unrelated note, that Danish large pack looks like it has had many repairs!

Nah some came here from within Holland, most of it came from the UK.
I found the UBACS at an oldtimer fair in Germany, the Highmark helmet, arctic bergen, sas bergen (not the frame), everything in
the last pic of the 1st post, both sleeping bags and the mat were bought here in Holland.

Some of the things like the arctic bergen and the sleeping bags are seen here sometimes because they were also Dutch Marines issue,
and I keep seeing the 58p sleeping bags being sold here as Dutch M80, while being clearly British marked, so maybe those were imported
for issue too.

And yeah that pack looks like it's been to hell and back. It's actually a British/Canadian (not sure which due to vague markings) WW2 pack
that had quite the renovation, I haven't seen this before, and there was even 1 similar one there, which was Canadian marked, but worse
condition.

I have an Indian WE 37 large pack that has been converted into Dutch M52, and I think also a British one that has been converted by the Danish. Those converted examples are some of the most interesting I think.

Converts are always nice, different countries have different needs, it's always interesting to see what some come up with.
Which is why I took the repaired canvas L-strap with me, such a weird thing to continue using when loads of better examples were around.

Oh and I thought of another question.
I've seen many photos of the sleepingbags being strapped below the Bergen packs to the frame.
What kind of straps did they use? I think normal p58 webbing straps would be too short, and in some photos I think the straps look thinner, like nylon ones, do Bergens have their own matching pack straps?

I'm doing some serious research into this item. Yours looks like the original 1962 Cascelloid one or a 1964 F&G one. It might be my monitor but in 1965, the green plastic was a slightly lighter shade. The caps and retainers should match the waterbottle.

The cup for these early waterbottles are black.

Thanks, it's certainly not as dark as others I've seen, and it's also good to know they had a black cup. The cap I knew is wrong, but it's what it came with, might have been replaced over the many years it's old

As per my Avatar, these rucksacks DID have their own small thin "Utility Straps". They are made from the exact same strap (20mm width) and buckle as on the side pockets. They were an updated version of the small short straps that were on the 1942 Pattern Rucksacks. I have one or two in storage - so won't see it any time soon. VERY rare... :-(

The Arctic Rucksack had more parts to it. There were MUCH longer straps used as Utility Straps proper and these were used to attached the Arctic Sleeping bag:

Unofficially, marines often used bungees to attach the sleeping bag and kidney pouches to the frame of the Arctic rucksack.

Oh yes I found out about the long strap later, I have several of it now
