Photo of the new Danish combat uniform released - it is to be issued to the next rotation of troops to Afghanistan in January 2013 (rotation 15).

Seen it on ICUS before. Nice uniform but is there the "heavy type" only? No light weight version?

Hi Philip,

This seems to be the uniform replacing the "old" M/84 standard uniform introduced in 1984 (the cut is also identical apart from the pockets on the uppersleeves).
I suppose there is also going to be a lightweight uniform - replacing both the "Balkan uniform" and the desert uniform currently used in Afghanistan.
But so far this is the only picture I have seen of the uniform (the earlier released photo showed an American multicam uniform...)

Great stuff but extremely sad to see the end to my fav camo pattern. RIP M84

Lets hope there's more of it to buy in future.

Darn... I was hoping the Danish would adopt a flecktarn-inspired MultiCam pattern. Guess not. Interesting style and cut nonetheless.

Hopefully this means there will be surplus desert cams floating about!
