    Only place I see them for sale is Ebay but go for STUPID money,have seen some sets go for more than you would pay for a complete New Spec Deact L1A1!!!!!

    not just aussie's that had wood furniture on SLRs . the first one i was issued with in 73 was wood, OH happy days,

    I think a lot of collectors refer to the early type as Australian even though the early British weapons also had the same type of furniture.

    Gone are the days where you could easily pick up FULL sets of furniture with all fittings for £15.
