I will say i went through the lot and picked the best one there

Are these Israeli as I have 2 of them and wasn't sure where they where from.

ISRAELI made and exact the same as the ISRAELI issue helmet apart from the labels.

The lables are in english rather than hebrew

you have a very nice example it looks un used a very nice find ,can i ask are they grp or kevlar composite i cant seem to find any info on the web for them and are you going to fit the dpm cover cheers jay

Its a composite helmet
at the moment it has a Brit DPM cover on it
I waiting for a South African chin strap and a Nutria cover

One advantage of a piece of kit being used by mroe mthan one nation is the ability to use it for different displays. Although soon, with everyone going to Multicam, all you'll need to change is the insignia

Soon you wont be able to tell at a glance what nations armed forces people are in

Pretty much why my interest is mainly in post war up to the early 90s as there was more variety and they looked like soldiers wearing military uniforms-now they look like something from a SCI FI movie.

I did think that the latest British army combats looked like props from Starship Troopers

That combined with whatever the latest designation for the L85 is with all the add on gadgets and the shape/profile of the MK7 helmet.

A case of life imitating art or that the movie industries understood function over appearance before the military did ?

Its getting like cars,take the 50s,60s,70s,80s,classic shaped cars with plenty of variety,now take the badges off most cars and you would be hard pressed to tell them apart.

I know the designers etc are not thinking of collectors when designing these uniforms,kit etc but there doesnt seem to be much individuality these days which is a shame.

the lid looks great with the dpm cover and band graham and ill look forward to the south african setup

The helmet cover and a pair of brown SADF boots will complete my 44Bde para set

Hi I was unable to get a SADF nutria brown cover for my P85 helmet so I made one and this how it looks Im actually quite pleased how it came out.

Hi the same helmet and a cover made from British DPM

sorry, a bit mixed up, I saw one with a NZDPM cover for sale on trademe a while back, will see if i can find photos
