    1954 Australian Slouch Hat?

Wondering if someone can tell me what I have here? I can't seem to find many references for slouch hats out there. Even a reference source would be appreciated. Thanks!

looks fairly close, i would say it is legit, the arrow on the inside band is put on issued items still, i only have the cheap modern army slouch hats and i hate wearing them the beret was heaps better.

That is good to know! Thanks!

I wasn't sure what I had since all the pictures of slouch hats I could find have the one side turned up. Is there anywhere that I could reference the pugaree unit patch?

Could it be a Gurkha cap as never seen a slouch without either a pop stud or clip to hold one side up?

Bingo! Looks like that's the style of hat they wear. I never would have guessed. Thanks!
