What? Uncomfortable? my paratacs are amazing, I would wear them over my magnums any day

In saying that when I got them they came with two right-foot insoles and I cbs sending back so had to get new inners, maybe that's why I feel they are better?

lol J boots are better than the paratech, some of the boots that have been on issue in the last 10 years or so are better, just not kiwi made.

Check the latest issue of the army news or soldier 5 and it shows the new kit and the entitlements.

I didnt notice if the materail was ripstop or not when I went through the sizing, most of the sizing stock pants/ shirts was in a UN blue materail. The only MCU shirts and pant I saw were on the demo dummy.

As for the quality pretty much the same answer(the process didnt take long) The smocks and wet weathers were the only gear in the auctual pattern materail. Until we get the real deal and have had a chance to use it we wont know.

I have seen the uniform that Onward took photos of, again i cant remember if it was ripstop or not, but did appear to well made, the photos make it look more washed out than the actual multicamish colours.

I can confirm the shirt and pants are in ripstop- but cant tell if that is the FR set or the Trg set.

Burnham had their sizings today, the smock or combat jacket is a good decision if it is wind and shower proof, the wet weather trouser are to complicated thou, and the new J hat is a medium brim version.

Talking to the Officer there he said there will be an FR combat glove on the way and eye protection will be compulsory in some environments.

"But hey don't you wear hand & eye pro?"

Kiwi soldier "yeah nah when I was on ex with the Americans they suggested it but nah bey gloves are too hot and I don't want to look like n sync, but thanks for passing on your lessons learnt from 12 years of constant combat, I'm sweet bro I'm off to hotshots".

I think NZDF should have just stayed with what we got or turned to multicam would have saved alot of money . I have talked with a few ex and current army persssonell and they agree with me on this.
