    PECOC Hybrid Webbing

Post by LeeKitchen1975 on Wed Mar 06, 2013 7:08 pm

One of the pouches I got with the set was the four colour desert DPM

You can see where the webbing has been sliced up. It cost me £20 for the full set of webbing but has cost me about £70 on top of this to getting it looking healthy !!! My wife thinks I am strange !!!!

Yeah but it was very very cut up...it took me a few days to glue the cuts on the pouches with a rubber glue. The Yoke was sliced up and had to send it off to be repaired professionally which cost a bit of money...but looking at it now, looks good but it cant carry any weight or the pouches would split!! So just a viewing piece now !!!! I have the grab bag also...

Oh really! Wow, a lot of dedication right there, i applaud you! But totally worth it, you have a great great piece right there which i for one am dead envious of Wink the grab bag is the only hybrid piece i own, got a coyote brown pecoc webbing set woth a couple pouches but would love something in this pattern, i keep meaning to get one of the hybrid bergens off Field Textiles but i cant really justify £90 on a bergen i wouldnt use as of yet, i'll have to get myself a piggy bank and start saving!

Its really funny that as I have got Field Textiles as a Favourite on Ebay, I mailed them the other day to see if they would accept a reasonable offer for the Bergen but they said no...I am like you, I cant justify £90 for it as I wouldnt use it.

I have seen your Tan set, its very very nice, no cuts to it also !! I wish I could get my hands on a set !!! I am looking !! Ha Ha !!! It has been a big job restoring it...I think it was worth it but just cant understand why the MOD slash everything especially when Field Textiles have some PECOC bits and pieces at a silly price !!!

I got that tan set off field textiles too as a matter of fact aha! And all that slashing business is ridiculous! I work with the MoD's parachutes and we have to slash deployment bags/harnesses and canopies etc because they can't risk someone using it incorrectly in civvie street and doing themself harm and the like, but I mean no-ones going to top themselves by wearing a bit of pecoc kit surely!

Would just like to mention I don't personally do the slashing, I'd be betraying the Militaria world!

Here are the images. It is a "patrol pack as it says in the label. It has one main pocket, one zipped top pocket and zips on both sides for add on pouches as with the S95 packs. Lots of molle straps. It was a bit sandy when it came back but a wash and brush up soon fixed that.It was not slashed or damaged in any way.

    PM problem

Post by fourtycoats on Thu Mar 14, 2013 4:48 pm

Hello Lee. I can not seem to send any PM's to you at the moment. I compose the PM and send it and all seems to go OK but nothing appears in my "sent" or "outbox" files. If you have not received any PM's from me in the last few days can you send me a PM with your e-mail address?

Branded as Sentinel, made by the manufacturers of the Osprey Mk4A, CQC. Can be used for bowman, ecm, medics, all sorts, loads of flaps and zips and gucci features.

    This is the issued one:

I use sentinel side pouches on mine, love it. Have an osprey side plate pouch as an easy access doc wallet too.

Very nice! I was very tempted but I have enough Bergans!! How many rucksacks do you get issued George? I thought the Infantry got 120lt PLCE, with Rocket pouches and specialist units got issued bespoke items?! There is the MTP Daysacks which there seem to be a few variations, I saw a 'Other Arms' MTP bergan, the one above...
