Picked this up last weekend. Funny thing is, the guy I got it off of threw it in for free with another purchase I made. He said it was to beat up to be worth anything. I'm glad he didn't want it!
Hat appears to be custom made private purchase. Crown is made from 2 pieces, a side and a top/front. Bill is 2 tan cotton covering several layers of heavy, white canvas. Sweatband is light OD hbt about the same size as helmet liner webbing. Something was blacked out on the bill, but I'm not going to attempt cleaning it to see what it may have said. There are at least 29 bombs stenciled around the sides and on the bill. There may be more, but some are very faded and others may be faded more than I can see. The bombs are grouped in sets of 5 and each 5 is numbered. The first 5 are in the front, then it is numbered from left around the back, to right ending in 25. There are at least 2 on each side of the bill, but no number. No name or service number un-fortunately.
