While rumaging through a few clothing bins in the garage , I came up with these 2 old dusty jumpers.
One is an undressed blues jumper, the other, is a tailored dress blues jumper made in Yokosuka Japan..
Both were extensively used by me way back then and show my rank/ rate insignia.
The undress jumper was worn on watches and work details when a dress jumper was not required..
Only real difference between dress and undress jumpers is the lack of stars and stripes on the back flap and wrists.
( BTW, back flap is a carry over from ancient time when sailors greased their hair into a ponytail ; it was used to keep the grease from staining the nape,{ back of the neck } ).
