this one reads: Jacket, Man's, Water Repellent
    ARMY BLACK 385
    Specification UQC S-02-79
    Certificate No. 8-2053-K
    50% Polyester 50% Cotton
    (laundering method)
    Dry Cleaning (alternative method)
    FINESILVER MANUFACTURING CO.
    San Antonio, Texas

and when i was 13 or 14, i modified the vest to have subdued urban TS pockets in my middle school sewing class...here are the 2 front pockets so you can see how bad i was back then LOL

I am waiting on my email from my phone that have a couple pictures of the entire vest, the sleeves were crudely cut off, and it is a zippered jacket, with a couple waist buttoned tabs. I modified the thing to provide me with a fishing vest in an unique style..which is why it looks different... my main question is; the tag in the second picture....is this a commercial item?

here are the complete pictures of the entire thing.

I am not aware of any military jackets with the collar and lack of breast pockets?

That is a private purchase Army black wind breaker. It has had the sleeves cut off. The tiger stripe pockets are probably from one of the commercial sets produced in the 80's. There may be pockets under the tiger stripe ones. My windbreaker had side slash pockets. I have another a friend gave me made by Trader Bay or London Fog. That would have not been used as a military uniform.. The windbreaker was worn with the dress uniforms.

    Fins..
