Desert 4 Color Jacket - What Country?

I think it is Bahraini. I have something from there with similar tailoring and buttons. But these 4 color DPM patterns confuse me to no end. Just too many!

This is Omani air force DPM... that's what a middle eastern collector told me... I've seeing a few of them being sold recently, but all mislabeled as iraqi... I can't really confirm, but that was the info i got.

Thanks!  Well, it looks like the Bahraini set I sold is actually Omani!  The irony is the same guy made both identifications, though many years apart It's a horribly under documented and confusing time period to identify things correctly, so I'm not surprised to find out it isn't what I thought it was.

My set was collected in the early 1990s at the latest.

The problem so many countries used a half dozen patterns/cuts at any given time and then changed every few years. Clear labels are a rarity. The colors and cut of each are a little different, but without good photos with definite origin it's really difficult to say. And only a few of these patterns are well photographed.

My current leaning is Oman Airforce. The reason I say that is the person who identified my set as Bahraini has apparently now decided it is Omani. I know his research methodology enough to know he would not make that change unless he had a very good reason. And his reasons are generally sound.

Of course it could be the uniform was used by both Bahrain and Omani Airfroce, but I doubt that since examples of EXACT use of the same uniform between two countries in the ME is not common.

The drawing of the DPM pattern is different than the Barhaini DPM pattern
So, for me this jacket have the Barhaini DPM pattern
But I think it is a civil jacket

Ah! Very good information. For sure it isn't the same uniform worn by Omani Airforce in recent years. However, the uniform that started this thread is 20 years old so I don't think it means very much either way. Middle East countries change their uniforms often.

Since I don't have this particular uniform anymore I guess I shouldn't care
