MK4 Desert DPM Osprey

Hey Chaps

Can anyone give me some infor on the current Osprey mk 4 in Desert dpm? I have used Osprey mk 4 in MTP on ops in Afghanistan but have come across a set of Desert DPM covers in stores ( I am supposed to dispose of these, this is not illegal,not an mod store in UK and I am not an mod employee and no longer in service) it is brand spankers, complete cover, cumberband, ops pannel, brassards, large and small collars, and shoulder pads, never seen a desert set before, no fillers or plates, were many produced?

oh well thought there might have been some info out there, just for info guys, the set of covers is in near identical shape, cut, style as the current MK 4 MTP osprey...differences that are visible are: no MTP panel on the left hand shoulder pad, the compartments for placing the fillers and pads are secured using velcro and press studs as appose to the zips of mk4 MTP, the inside of the vest/cover is more a mesh material than the ribbed lining of the MK4 MTP, the MOLLE straps all over the cover are in a rather "olive" or "dark tan" looking shade, the parts id tags on each part of the pieces of equipment are in white, it has the front ops panel over the velco, the 2 small blanking plates for the same side velco there is an internal cumberband belt and and external cumberbands with side plate areas....guys it is just almost identical to the MTP version currently used but in Desert dpm....i will takes some pics shortly, was it used as a trial between Osprey MK3 to osprey MK4?....have seen MK4 in tan during trials, but not desert.

My mate trialled the PECOC version - unsure if it's the MKIV or a different design. I'll ask him his opinions on it when I see him again.

Hi mate I have one of these desert mk4 vest as you show in your pictures I just seen this as I was looking for info myself but this may now be old but they are made by the same people that made the tan mk4

From the size tag, I guess they are made by the same factory.

Some information reveals that the Osprey Assault family (also Osprey MK4?) were made in China by the same factory of "flyye industries".
