    Owned one about 20 years back but sold it.

    Came with a net which not sure if original to the helmet.

    Thanks Usall,any ideas on the net and the shell doesnt seem to be stamped or dated?

    Look carefully inside the shell, the markings be covered with a thick layer of paint.

    Nice looking 49 Gulf, never really been all that keen on one myself, but I like the look of this one Mate!

    Thanks Gary,as said had one many many moons ago as a cheap "WW2" Tommy helmet and sold it as soon as I managed to get my first genuine WW2 MKII and have always toyed with the idea of buying another(at the right price) but have all been going for more than I was prepared to pay for one until this came along. No idea how long Ill end up keeping this one either as my helmet collecting doesnt conform to any pattern and they are taking up a lot of room so maybe time to bite the bullet and have a mass cull.

    Also somewhere hidden away have an unissued Dutch MKII type helmet.
