    I have the opportunity to possibly buy something unique, I have asked if it has a NSN label which I have been told there is...however when I put the code into the website;

    http://8470.iso-group.com/Public/Search_Results.aspx?ss

    It returns with no results?!

    I have bought some items off the chap before and all are legit...could the website be wrong?

    Mmmmm interesting that one...I would have thought a small purchase would just use a standard garment and use it for what it needed I.e the Dyed Green kit.

    I presume if a batch of kit was to have a NSN label specific to that item, it would have to be tested etc at the MOD, a purchase of a sizeable order order to make it cost effective?

    I don't 100% know about British NSN but American had its own for small purchase and its own for Natick prototypes separate from the regular. On even smaller runs its well documented that they have even just used any tags even if the item don't even match, the experimental T-PATT urban vests were marked up as desert jackets with desert NSN.

    It's just a guess mind.

    You now need to find a pair of the matching Thermal Trousers!
    Both the jacket and trousers are made by Carinthia of Austria and were supplied to the MoD by BCB International as an interim solution for use by the Royal Marines and Special Forces, who found the in service Thermal Suit to be deficient in design and thermal properties.
    Both the jacket and trousers are commercially available as:-
    Carinthia MIG Jacket G-loft and Carinthia HIG 2.2 Trousers G-Loft
    The trousers are issued in both Olive Green and MTP.

    Thank you for the update...really appreciate it as I didn't know that!! I can get a pair of the Thermal Trousers but they are huge and have had the label ripped out Sad Have seen on the Field Textiles site they have the Jacket and corresponding trousers but they are at silly price! £200 for the Jacket and £175 for the trousers...

    I like generally to get where I can what fits me but the chap I got the jacket off says the trousers are big?! Should I get them, shouldn't I is the question!!
