    Love the para boots filupe, I missed out on a pair of these last year, thanks for sharing yours Mate.

    This style was around in the 70's, and I believe they were based on the British SAS thick soled Para-boots from memory.

    MMMMM Nice I have a pair of Civilian jump boots of a simular design that I used to use for sky diving in the late 80s early 90s

    I had a pair back in the day. But you are incorrect in your assumption that they were based on a British SAS boot. The reality was that those who went to Pau (France) to do the HALO course got issued them and kept them. Bit of a status symbol. You would also see RAF PJI's wearing them as they had done the same course. I assume that French ankles are a little more 'precious' thank British ones ! Smile
