Re: US Army SF winter camo
Wow...
I didn't know this actually made it to the production stage... I thought only cloth samples were produced as a way to communicate the concept.
Very cool find!

Re: US Army SF winter camo
The company ADVENTURE TECH had this print as a soft nylon option on the reversible goretex suits.

It looks like its a 3 colour mix of a brown type, white and some sort of tan. I'm just going on the photo I found.

Re: US Army SF winter camo
I've zoomed in using my iPad.
Adventure tech no longer exists because it's now a division of Proper Int. So no website I'm afraid. The only suits that seem to knocking about are the desert/night desert combo , odd woodland/desert too but they seem to be more rare.
I remember back in the day about 10 years ago when I got my desert/night desert from adventure tech the snow camo/woodland being an option. The waterproof side was the woodland and the snow was the nylon liner fabric. I found this image on the goretex website.

Re: US Army SF winter camo
I wonder is adventure tech bought up the surplus fabric to use as a combo option for their waterproof suits ? It wouldn't be the first time , here in the UK the failed PECOC trial camo was sold on to make pet pillows !!!!

Re: US Army SF winter camo
Sweet! I didn't know a uniform existed, but I've suspected as much because I have some of the pack covers.
Looks like there's a 2 piece set, a 1 piece poncho, and the pack cover. Maybe a helmet cover?
I also suspect that after the pattern was rejected that someone turned around and made commercial pieces out of it. That's standard for US companies.

Re: US Army SF winter camo
Yeah, I guess with the woodland trousers isn't a poncho now that I look at it more carefully.

Yep what I have is a shirt it has a big pouch on the front sorry for the bad photos, and one of the guys is wearing the pants also.not bad for a $50 pick up as I had only seen a photo of it on camopdia and did a little research as I couldn't find it on this site so I took a gamble on it
