    Help with british uniform jacket

Can anyone confirm if this is 1968 pattern DPM uniform?

    DPM Combat Jacket ID'ed

Post by britcoll36 on Fri Aug 01, 2014 8:49 pm

    Gungadd,
Yes: What you have is a bog-standard 1968 Pattern DPM combat jacket with full screw (Corporal) subdued rank on the right sleeve.
It has the squaddies name and service number sewn in for identification.

The 68 Pattern refers to the garment itself and not the cammo print.

    DPM variations

Post by fourtycoats on Sat Aug 02, 2014 3:51 pm

There are many variations of pattern, print colours and design on British DPM clothes. There are topics elsewhere on this forum which go into the history etc.. If you are interested, a little while spent in research will pay dividends.
