Here's some helmets used by early OPFOR Forces. First up, 1950's type plastic cover. These are altered WW2 liners with a strap from a M1910 or M1924 haversack for a chinstrap. The cover is a plastic like children's halloween masks are made of. It is orange and has been painted gray. The old green and white OPFOR logo is hand painted on both sides.opfor - OPFOR Helmets PICT0001opfor - OPFOR Helmets PICT0002opfor - OPFOR Helmets PICT0003

An OPFOR helmet from Ft Cambell. These were used by the 101st AB OPFOR forces. Helmet is a standard 1950's M1 liner with a large, hand painted yellow triangle on each side

Early 1970's into the 80's Soviet style hard plastic cover for liner. This one has a 72 dated snap in suspension liner. Color is a blueish/grey green. Cool! I never seen OPFOR type helmets before. I think first one is VERY WEIRD.
