We have here a full set of Tantalus trial PECOC MVP suit.
Gulf kindly sold me the trousers but the smock I had to go to some lengths to get. I noticed when typing into Google images 'PECOC' the Desert Smock appeared and I did want it but could only admire from a far !!!
So I found the forum, registered and contacted the chap direct who agreed to sell the smock for a fee. Okay it might be a bit stalker'ish but I thought what the hell!
The jacket itself was bought by the chap from an Army Surplus store which was mixed in with other surplus items. The Army Surplus chap did not know what it was and sold him it for £30. The Jacket was tested for development at MOD Abbey Wood which it states on the tag on the jacket.
What’s interesting is that the tag in the trousers I got from Gulf is a total different style to one in the Smock so they are potentially other sets out there ? Maybe ? There has to be at least one so the style of labels corresponds with the set I have.
