Question about swiss backpack

I have a question about the swiss backpack modified with BW suspenders :



were they used by swiss army or BW ? does someone have pictures in service ?

Probably neither - these were likely modified by a surplus dealer/company to make the packs (which are plentiful and cheap) more appealing for the general marketplace. Since there are massive quantities of these suspenders in the surplus market, it would make sense to use them for this purpose.

Yes, definitely commercial modification. The Swiss packs were designed to hook onto the jacket, never anything else. The straps are unique to the Bundeswehr, never used by Switzerland. And yes, there are tons of both of these so matching the two together is quite smart. In fact, I think this would make an excellent small, comfortable backpack. The BW straps are nice and wide, the pack is soft and all cotton.

The inscription in Russian says: "Пример самостоятельного добавления лямок".

The translation of the inscription is as follows: "An example of backpack straps adding independently (by himself)".

It's funny, but the word "добавления" is written with mistake (misspelling) - "добавAления".

So, this is just self-made compositions of Swiss backpack and BW shoulder straps...;-)
