Early BW anti-gas sheet pouch

I had been looking for some time for an early Bundeswehr pouch used to carry the anti-gas sheet. Judging from old BW photographs, I had assumed that BW pouches were essentially identical with the ones used during Third Reich. I recently found a BW pouch dated 1959 (right) and was interested to find that it is rather smaller in dimensions than a typical Wehrmacht example, such as the 1943 example shown here (left). Perhaps the gas sheets were also of different dimensions? I don't know, as I do not have a WH sheet to compare with a BW sheet.
