Thank Ripcord, the only item missing from the set is the 'Gunners' trousers which are basically the same as above but have the facility to host removable knee pads...I'm working on that one as they don't come up often and when they do, they're expensive.
The Aircrew kit has been totally re-engineered, time and money has been spent on it which is refreshing as it really is first class kit, well thought out, well designed and made.
I have been told the Mk1 Smock which is basically the PCS Smock but in lightweight FR material is for Fixed Wing aircrew...the Gucci stuff is for rotary wing as the guy who helped design it flies Chinook I believe.
They have also re-engineered the PCS Goretex and Thermal suits as well, again, I have seen the kit but non has come up as yet to purchase.

Somebody should make a total list of all the issued MTP clothing items.
I totally lost the overview. Nice stuff btw.

I wish I knew where to get this kit. Mt son is in the Rifles and he's just spent more than £200 on Crye Multicam Spec Ops trousers which don't look at functional as the door gunner trousers. If anyone fancies letting me know where to look please PM me, it might save my son a fortune.

Hi James, all from EBay, just type ‘MTP Aircrew’ and it brings it all up. Prices vary but there are quite a few items on there.

well, there is a modification tour busy, whilst I was in the airforce, you only had US made coveralls, and summer and winter flyers jackets, that was all, now it seems to me that they adapt the standard army MTP uniform with some extra's and of course FR for flying crews???
