Obtained these berets recently and need help ID'ing them. The brown beret has the red and green strings of Portugal and has a plastic lining. The stamp inside says Pretoria and S.A.P.H.I. and the Ying/yang symbol. The other beret is wool in a camo pattern like a previous Portugese beret I had that had the red and green strings but this one just has black strings and the slack pulls to the left. It also has a snap between the grommets to keep the slack pulled down.The tag inside says Prada as the mfg.

Both berets are not Portuguese manufactured and nor used by Portuguese army, and I have a few of them. The brown one is from South Africa and the camo is from Brazilian army..hawkeye4771 wrote:
