I was fortunate enough to pick up this vintage Kukri recently for a decent price, and would like to know more about it.
My primary query is if it is military issue or not, followed by a rough idea of what era it was made.
I can find no marks on either the knife or the sheath, but to my eye, both seem of better quality than a souvenir or "Bud-k" quality knife. It does not seem to have any markings removed either. The steel seems to be a higher grade, has a sharp edge with out any noticeable knicks, the handle is well fitted and tight, and the sheath is made of quality leather and has been well stitched.
Can anyone help me learn more about this interesting knife?
