When I looked at the other two posts I suddenly remembered I have one of these uniforms in the basement, but it's slightly different from the other two ones pictured as it has "Policia" on the left sleeve. It's complete with trousers and cap.

yes...you are most certainly correct....it looks like a hybrid of the 2....it has got both the blue & purple in it, which is interesting as I have never seen this pattern before..I swear the Serbs have like a thousand variations of uniforms & patterns....I will have to post a bunch of my jigsaw jackets/trousers....almost all of mine are all different is some way...whether it is the pattern, or the number of D-rings over the chest pockets, etc.

I’m not really a uniform collector and this is one of the few I have, but I decided to pick it up when I got the chance as I know it’s rare. It’s found in a search operation we did in the area of Kosovo Polje/ Fush Kosova in Kosovo in 2000 and now I’m very sorry I didn’t bring back more of these. I’ll check and see if I have any pictures of some others. It’s marked YUMCO, one of the manufacturers of uniforms to the Yugoslavian Army, and in the beginning of the the KFOR mission the Norwegian Inf Bn’s HQ was located in one of the YUMCO factories between Pristina and Kosovo Polje.

wow..that is interesting...in fact one of mine...I am thinking the purple one was brought back by a US vet who found it in a police station in Pristina.

I went to check out a bombed MUP station just outside Pristina with one of the platoon commanders. He was nuts about Land Rovers and at this station there were several lying around together with all other kinds of wrecked stuff. I found these pictures of MUP equipment in a book on the KFOR mission, as you can see there are some nice stuff floating around.
