Re: PLA 07
Just so you know, eBay seller honesty-honesty is offering these uniforms now (as of this date). I've had two great transactions with him. I gave him my measurements, and he sent a uniform that fit great.

Re: PLA 07
Comparison of Type 07 (experimental) and Type 07 (standard issue).
The Experimental type is made from a cheap ripstop fabric and continues the tradition of shoulder rank. The standard production issued uniform is made from a thicker smooth cotton/poly cloth with the rank on the collar. There are other differences, but that is the easiest way to tell the difference. I have pictures of both in use and Richard Fu confirmed that the ripstop type was experimental.

Hello
I have put my set in ripstop fabric as a copy
I am very amazed that it is a trial pattern

I bet that coat with the fur collar must have cost a good amount.

Re: PLA 07
Gilles, looking at your site I think your 2 Philippine TS are real. AFAIK lots of Phil. Armed Forces uniforms are tailor made. I have some as well.
And your US woodland M65 field jacket is commercial.

Re: PLA 07
Gilles,
Chile copy 1 on your website was a contract uniform made by Joe Francis. These were made in Pakistan to his specifications for the collector's market. So for sure it is fake.
I agree with Philip that Philippines 2 from your website is probably "real". The soldier goes to a tailor shop that has the correct patterns and the uniform is made there. World wide this practice has largely ended for combat uniforms, but for dress uniforms this practice continues in many countries including the United States, Germany, etc.

Re: PLA 07
Here are some pictures of the Experimental Type 07. Notice the date on the banner in the first picture:
I have about a dozen different pictures of this uniform in use.

Does anyone know the designation for the Chinese PASGT-looking helmet in those photos?

Re: PLA 07
The army issued 07 digital camoflage when we compare with the fake/copy pattern color is smaller. Inside the clothing is indicated with PLA factory marking. The private factories won't dare copy the PLA factory marking.Of course the quality of army issued stuff is better than the copy ones. For Westerner it is difficult to read those marking in Chinese charactors.
