Re: San Marco and COMBUSIN camouflage
Nice to see some more COMSUBIN/BSM variants. One of my favorites! I'm fortunate enough to have a Peach set. I like to think of it as "orange sherbet", one of best deserts of all time

Re: San Marco and COMBUSIN camouflage
Peach camo is very rare (impossible) to find in italy at this time...this uniform was Made from FCM in Prato, only a small Lot was Made, and if it's possible to find one you could pay at least 350 euros for a set...
The "pink" camo, called "salmonata" from "salmon" was Made from a company called "trade company" and others from FCM.

Maybe the stamp says 1975? I've never seen metal star rank on one of these.

I've thought that about the shoulder rank too. Didn't they have it pinned to their chest?

Re: San Marco and COMBUSIN camouflage
My understanding is it was an experimental type.
I have a picture of this exact uniform. Is this now in your hands? The date on my picture is 12/2010. I have other pictures of the pattern, the earliest date is 8/2010. Which means it is no newer than 8/2010.

Re: San Marco and COMBUSIN camouflage
Gilles,
Thank you very much for your quick response and opinion!
I learned from other posts that my pants (year of production 2005) belong to the type, in which San Marco camouflage acquired the cut of Vegetato uniform pattern.
Thanks again!
And my task will be searching for appropriate jacket!

I also used to say COMBUSIN earlier ...

COMSUBIN is an acronym that stands for "COMando SUBacquei INcursori" that mean "Raiders & Divers Headship"
Hope to be helpful.

note. still smells a bit i will be wearing it so the tag fading is not a problem for me
