These sets have been going around for a couple years now , sportsmans guide sold them , I think Cheaper then dirt had them and they could be found on ebay ,sold as Bulgarian every time I see them ,I decided to bite the bullet and order a set , they also came with a large backpack , first the quality is not the best , all the belt pouches have Russian/Soviet OTK acceptance stamps on them , so the question is , were these made by the Soviets for the Bulgarians? , were they made by the Soviets for reserve type units and sold as surplus to the Bulgarians ? or are they truly Bulgarian , I have no idea , the H harness,Belt, and backpack have no OTK stamps but the pack is made from the same material as the pouches , strange set , but great for that generic commie set up , and the sets are cheap enough about $25 shipped for everything, I really wonder what the story is behind these .

my guess is that they were Bulgarian manufactured and passed soviet inspections, so the soviet stamp was a stamp of approval. Just my guess. but nice set, they are on sportsmans guide now? Ill have to take a look. Could you post a picture of the pack?

But remember the bulgarians used the cyrillic alphabet so not out of the ordinary for it to have soviet type markings.
