Very strange jacket!!

I wish I knew more about ROK items. As far as I can tell button pockets = standard issue, velcro pockets = private purchase. Beyond that I do not know much. The South Koreans used a lot of different patterns over the years!

I learned something new today

Well, at least this is what I've figured out on my own. It may not be accurate, however usually the shirts with velcro for buttons have odd features that the known standard issue items do not have.

Mind you, the newer uniforms appear to have velcro for cuff adjustments instead of buttons. But buttons are still used for pockets. The other ones use velcro for both pockets and cuffs.
