    My Dutch DPM smock....
Bought it to see how close the Brit and Dutch DPM are. Close enough that on exercice you can get away with wearing it! Very Happy
A well made/thought out smock, and IMO better and more ally than the issue brit smocks.... Shame really as its been replaced by my arctic windproof as a field smock.

Ok nice piece.BUT its not complete ,you need a rain liner[gore] and a cold weather liner and a capuchon.
AND!! most off all we call it the parka.

The parka itself was first issued in 1993[92] many soldiers did,nt like because the wet weather liner was under the cotton parka. So when there was rain the complete system weighs a ton.My solution wash it with nikwax.

In the same time there where also 2 other differant types of parka,s.1 with its liner[gore]solid with the parka.

Well thats me told haha.. Smile
I can see what you mean about it getting wet, but we get issued British Gore-tex waterproofs for over kit, so if the rain is really coming down then that goes on top.

It works both ways... I've heard of Dutch soldiers wearing Brit PLCE webbing and rucks on exercise also! lol!
Very nice smock. I've a Dutch DPM shirt like this, and it's a great bit of kit. Well-made and in an awesome pattern!
