Very good nick James compared to a lot I have seen.

Are there repro liners available for these or are you leaving as is?

It looks a prime candidate to restore to its former glory James due to its sound condition, most are rusted through and full of holes.

Oh, no... I just couldn't remember with whom I'd spoken about the leather co. earlier in the thread. I hate being the guy who says the same thing all of the time, but I am sometimes.

heres my m1 a1 LL paratrooper lid you can see the amount of jumps on the liner and if i carefully peel back the liner i can see this writting which states a very large size 71 and i believe dated 1977 acording to the shell markings and the pencil markings THE HELMET THREAD - Page 30 037THE HELMET THREAD - Page 30 036-1THE HELMET THREAD - Page 30 035

these more modern ones are a bit out of my scope as i can only id the last of the pasgt models but it looks like the us ach (advanced combat helmet ) fitted with the comfort pad upgrade the only niggling doubt though is the lack of a small hole in the front above the rim for nightvision equipt etc im sure others on here will confirm either way or maybe it could be an off the shell version for civilian use ie press ,hope this helps james

Alfie your lid looks to me to be an mich/ach, I've seen examples like this used by private contractors,Uk and US, I like it as it looks like it's seen some action.Does it have any labels or stamps in the crown?

James, where on earth do you keep finding your lids ( No do not disclose this on-line LOL) ,love your latest Spanish lid mate, she's a beaut!!!

cheers gulf its a shame you parted with them ,i can see germanic influences in the design and is very similar to the bulgarian m36 when placed side by side its a pity these spanish lids have no date stamps but ive heard this style was used up untill the 1950's

No worries James great to see when you get a lid on your wishlist, one to tick off eh Smile , and yeah the lack of NVG mounting hole is unusual, but I'm pretty sure I've seen these lids without the pre-drilled holes before, I'm not even convinced this one is US,either way I like it.

I do wonder what the letters on the front relate too?
