identify this jacket, no clues Empty identify this jacket, no clues

A friend has given me this jacket, the photo and the flash does not do justice, in the photo looks like leather, but cloth. The previous owner waxed the jacket.
My friend bought it in the 80s in a militaria shop in Amsterdam.
Some details seem of M43, including the closure of the neck, others resemble the parkas.
I can make more photos if anyone needed for identification.
On the way, I would like to remove the wax, any ideas?
    Greetings
    JR

Very unusual jacket...looks Dutch in Design, I had one like this in the 90's.

I reckon it will be fairly difficult to remove the wax, maybe you could try Turpentine Spirit,or Paint Brush restorer liquid ,this might shift the wax....but either way this could be a challenge to remove this amount of wax....good luck Jose.Wink

I second the thought that this is Dutch. Specifically Dutch Police. There is a jacket similar to this in Belgian Jigsaw camouflage that was worn by their equivalent to SWAT (as far as I can tell). The tags in the Jigsaw jacket left no doubt about its origins, so I'd say it's pretty safe to bet this is Dutch Police. Maybe a motorcycle jacket?
