Navy ranks are same for naval and technical officers, NCO's and soldiers. Difference is shown by small insignias on epaulets or bottom of the sleeve. ranks looks alike, but technical staff is address with rank names similar to Army (colonel, sergeant etc) and naval officers have different rank names.

Each branch or service had their collar insignias. Insignias were worn only on gala and dress uniforms. On top are generals insignias (left for Air Force and right for Army generals). See more on my website www.kokosar.com
