I'm not 100% convinced these are 82 era,but they're fairly old

hi.  Here's mine.  Love the 70-90's timeframe of British Army!  Here's my recent fleebay acquisition, UK lightweights.  They're mint and have the leg pocket.  I tried wearing them out on the town the other night but my old lady told me I looked like an old man.  I quickly changed into everyman jeans.  

Nice trs but both post Falklands unfortunately.

I Remeber being issued 2 pairs of TMLs when i Joined up in the mid 80's thing about them was when toy sat down what ever was in the side pockets fell out I must have lost a fortune in loose change fron those bloody things.

Pretty sure the later(last)issue did away with the thigh pocket.

I have seen some with No thigh pocket which IMO was the best pocket because as I said earlier if you put anything in the side pockets and sat down it fell out.

And when you ironed them enough times the trousers turned 2 colours , so inside leg was green and outside leg was silver !!!!!

Oh yeh I had forgot about that

Great to see a revival of these often overlooked trousers;) 

Was never in the armed forces but did a brief spell in the ACF and much preferred the Lightweights over the DPM combat trs we had as they looked much smarter.
