I want open the topic for the my trips to different military - historical museums and places. Maybe you will interesting visit it too in future.
So,today I ofer to you photos from "Partisan catacombes" in Nerubayskoye, ОOdessa region, Ukraine. (June 2006).

Before the capturing Odessa by German and Romanian army in October 1941 here was left 2 partisan troops that wasn't contacted and knowing about each other.

The soviet partisans was situated here 2-3 monthes and almost nothing to do but one day the romanians found their place and has been trying to destroy them. It was happened small combat, 1 romanian soldier was killed and 2 partisans was wounded after that the partisans left this base to another part of catacombes. Some tima later the leader fo this partisan group was captured and executed and new partisan's commander moved his partisans to another place. Only before the liberation Odessa by Soviet army in April 1944 here is situated new partisan group

BULGARIA-2006
In 2006 I visited my friends in Bulgaria in Sofia and of course they are invited me to the Military -Historical museum in Sofia.

The museum building sems in typical soviet type very like as hospital))). In the yard good exposition of the vehicles and artillery of 19-20 c., many of the soviet SPG and tanks etc that was made in USSR and Bulgaria by license. You can see also something of german vehicles and artillery of WW@ and some modern vehicles. All in good condition but one of the yards consist from destroyed and corrosion vehicles of Germany and Italy of WW2. I think it wait for recover

In the building of museum. The visiting was free but no photo! I didn't knew it before that's why I made some shots)))

In the 1877 here was militia of Stara Zagora that has this standard and under this standard they fight against turks almost all bulgarians - military, militia and civilians was killed and massacred by turks...

I`ve been in the Military Museum in Sofia, last year! Goosh it`s impressive!! Have You been at Shipka? That`s the place of one of the greatest battle during the Bulgarian war for independence. Really worth to see!

Just found some time to continue my topic.
In 2006, after my vacation in Bulgaria I was returned to home andmy parents ask my to travel them to Crimea (Ukraine). So, we has been going to Feodosia. There are no military museums in Feodosia, but about 100 km to east situated Kerch where was difficult battles in 1941, 1942, 1943. I was on car and tried to find from 3rd time museum aout Eltigen landing operation in November 1943 (the region Geroevskoye on the south from Kerch. The museum situated directly on the beach. The museum is small, only 3 salas. Nothing interesting but some better yard exposition.

After the Eltigen desant museum I returned to Feodosia but I was buried simply to lie on the beach. So, I decided drive to Sevastopol - just 150 km to the south-west part of Crimea. THisis famous place not only for Soviet and russian history but known all over the world. The Sapun-hill (Sapun-gora) was found simply and quickly.

Those are some interesting locations and some great photos. I've been to a few museums as well.

The National Military Museum of Vietnam located in Hanoi.
The Technical Museum in Speyer Germany.
The National Museum of the USAF at Fort Patterson Air Force base in Ohio (sadly I couldn't see Hanger 18).
Just about every museum in Washington D.C.
The Landmine Museum in Cambodia.

I recommend all of them as they are all vastly different (Vietnamese one has so much propaganda while the landmine one is very rugged and uses its money to remove active landmines and provides relief to victims).

Every museum have main target - the propaganda. Especially military museums. Other side - how the propaganda is offer. as we are all humans we should get necessary information and filter unnecesary things. Who need political propaganda only visit another societies and clubs)))

Historical museum in Dnepropetrovsk, 2006

In my city - Dnepropetrovsk (Ukraine), situated in the east (or center) of Ukraine have one museum where you can see something of militaria. I think not many peoples know that my motherland is Cossack country. But we had a very rich war history. And a little of good museums after many wars and soviet times and new independent times. I shot our museum and you can see how it poor. But I have a friends in the state organisations who contacted with this museum and they told me that museum have much more exponations that nobody see on exhibitions. Armadni museum, Praha, 2007

In the fall 2007 I have been visited Czech Republic and Praha city. Of course, I visited military-historical museum of Czech army. The web of this museum you can find easy in Google. But the dates of the museum was not updated and I found only Praha guardsman near president's palace (Hradni Straz)

But finally I found the Armadni museum. What I can say about? Due I had alittle time I could shot only inner exposition. Also seems the museum recently moved to this building, so , not all salas was opened. I bought couple books but prices enough high for my vallet. But I got positive emotions from the museum exhibitions and I made sure one more time that European museums can save their values and rares

Arsenal in Lviv (L'vov - Lemberg), Western Ukraine

In the L'viv situated museum "Arsenal" that I has been visited in 2005 and next time in 2007 when I return from Czech. The museum situated in the old centrum of city inm the citadelle. The exhibition is enough good (if compare with other ukrainian museums) but there are no refres for a long time. So if you will in the Lviv - I recommend to see it (especially in the Euro 2012 time)

On the east part of Dnepropetrovsk region situated small town Pokrovskoje. There are I shot the soviet tank T-10. Almost all this tanks used by Soviet army on the far east.
