Other countries that use Flecktarn camo

Probably everyone knows that in addition to Germany there are or were other countries that used or modified German Flecktarn for their own military, ie. Denmark made their own, China copied it exactly but changed the colours for Tibet Flecktarn, Russia copied the Denmark version and also revamped it a bit for Special Forces, Belgium Air Force used the German one for a while, and Japan did a version of it too for their Home Guard but in Woodland colours.

However, does anyone know if any other countries have used or do use German Flecktarn unaltered for their military?

I have a picture of UKRAINE troops wearing German Flecktarn. Sorry can't post the picture yet, still under the 7 days. Anyone heard of Ukraine using German Flecktarn?

Mate, i once had a few photos of georgian (or some eastern european nation) wearing unaltered flecktarns...even down to the m43 caps

It seems to be an experimental or trial pattern only.

But who really 'made' or came up with the original pattern? I am well aware of the German Army's Truppenversuch 76 where present flecktarn came out on top and all that. But which company or laboratory came up with the camo scheme?

Both French company Texunion and German Marquardt & Schulz has been mentioned. In Dr. Borsarello's works he shows pictures of several French-made experimental uniforms from the early 1980's, that were never adopted due to their resemblance to the German pattern.

The Danish M/84 was developed from the winning German pattern, and altered with the help of Danish firm DADCON (who later helped the Canadian Forces pick colours for CADPAT) to the 3-colour trials pattern T/78. Trials ran from 1978 to 1984, where the slightly darker and more defined pattern M/84 was introduced to all parts of the Danish Defence.

The German flecktarn did not see wide distribution until 1990. What were the German Army doing in those 13 or 14 years after the 76' trials?

Albanian troops surely used german uniforms in the 1990's.

I have been researching this thoroughly in this last week actually and here's what I have:

In original German flecktarn there was Belarus (their KGB - internal Police), Kyrgyzstan, Georgia (in 2005), and apparently Ukraine. Russia itself used Flecktarn apparently too for it's Spetsnaz Special Forces before they did a slight recolour of it for their "Flecktar" camo which from a distance looks the same as orginal Flecktarn. I have seen two Russian surplus jackets for sale on the internet. Kosovo when they had their liberation/uprising used a bit but they were so rag tag as to use any and every camo under the sun that I dont think it would count as "official." Just my opinion.

Apparently Austria used it for a bit too?

Here are two photos of a very unusual derivative of Flecktarn. It is used by a very small country( a bit bigger than the Vatican City) which has 3 main population concentrations in it's land area.I assure you that my camera is functioning correctly. What is the country?

I've seen that odd camo before. It's from a police force (and only armed force) from one of the Oceania island countries. Cant remember the correct one though. Samoa, Micronesia,... Argh! Cant remember!

Here's a photo I downloaded a long time ago for a project on the 08/08/08 Russo-Georgian War. I'm not sure of the highlighted soldier's affiliation, but you can clearly see the flecktarn-patterned uniform, in a cut similar to the Splav Bekas commercial variants.



Unfortunately, I don't have a hi-res version of this photo. It would be interesting to examine the pattern to see how it compares to original flecktarn.

The final clue before John the Revelator comes along:
2 of the locations are in the USA , on opposite sides of the continent. The final location is near a European capitol city.

The answer is Disneyland. They do not actually wear this pattern but it would be appropriate. The sample shown is a paintball shirt made by a company that started out making suits from the original cammo materials but lost their way into this and also made a cammo suitable for hiding in a field full of Friesian cows.
