Re: Newest french CCE uniform
I compared this suit with an issued one I recently acquired. They look identical except that the fabric in your one seems to be the non ripstop heavier cloth used in the previous CCE garments whereas the current issue is rip stop.Maybe the suit is made in the two clothes for use in different climates?

I'd say that's a fair assumption. Two years ago I observed the current (non ripstop) CCE uniform on the French (New Caledonian contingent) Army Shooting Team whilst they competed in Australia. However, the recent French war movie 'Forces Speciales' set on the Pakistani-Afghan border region feature some of the characters wearing rip-stop CCE.

Re: Newest french CCE uniform
There are two types of FELIN suit on issue.
One is termed Francais and is meant for cooler climates (late Autumn to early spring)
The other is 'Outre Mer', meaning overseas issue (and European summer). The latter is a thinner cloth and mosquito impregnated. I have one of the jackets in a large reg mint condition if anyone is interested ?
The Outre mer were trialled in and are on issue in Afghanistan. The suits are now being rolled out to all Regiments and have been for the last 3 months.
They are a nice bit of kit - very ARKTIS -like in style and quality. The suits also come with a removable hood. The full ensemble includes vests and all sorts of other kit. Finally teh French are wearing clothing made and cut for combat rather than the skin tight F2 suits. Bravo mes braves !
I'll post a photos later of my jacket if get time.
