Re: border guard
Nice one! There's another model with a chest epaulette. I've seen pictures of these and I have one myself. Maybe the one Gilles shows is an earlier type?

Re: border guard
I don't know if the pattern is 100% identicl, but the cloth of mine is not like Saudi. Most Saudi items are also smooth cotton in my experience, not ripstop. The tailoring is very different. There are two arm pockets and very unusual double clothing for the top 1/2 of the jacket on both left and right sides.
Gilles, here are some pictures of the type with a chest epaulette. It is difficult to say, but I think some have both shoulders and chest epaulettes. However, the normal chest epaulette jacket does not have epaulettes.

I have not take a picture for compare the Afghan and the Saudi because the pattern is the same, a colors derivative of the US chocolate chips

Re: border guard
Thanks for the clarification, Gilles. I now see what you mean.
BTW, the tag in my Afghan jacket is nearly the same as the one in yours, just formatted a little differently:
M
(T) ARADIAN
ANB
BLINKLEY

Re: border guard
so the other day i was offered another afghan border guard set, but when i got the picture was different coloration... i turned the offer down because i thought was fake/commercial...
it turns out there is a couple of color variants and now i deeply regret passing on the trade... maybe i can still make it work, but here are the pics of the border police set in a blueish turquoise color scheme
